A book that a certain friend always tells you to read

I don’t have any reader friends so a book I see recommended a lot is the six of crows duo-logy!

A book that has been on your TBR forever, and yet you still haven’t picked it up

There is so many I could have chose for this one haha. An ember in the ashes is one of the first things that shows up on my goodreads tbr so it has been there for a long time.

A book in a series you have started, but haven’t gotten round to finishing

I got a few chapters in to The assassins blade and put it down.

A classic you have always liked the sound of, but never actually read

I have The diary of a young girl on my shelf and I really wanted to read it, but never got to it.

A book that inspired a film/TV adaptation that you really love, but you just haven’t read it yet

A Christmas carol is such a classic and I have never actually read it!

A book you see all over Instagram, but haven’t picked up yet

The cruel prince was really popular but I have been a bit apprehensive to read it.

Thanks for reading 🙂 I tag who ever wants to do this too!

Spring Cleaning Book Tag

I was tagged by Bibi @Bibi’s book blog to do the spring cleaning book tag 2.0! Which I am very happy about because I was planning on doing it anyway 🙂

1. The struggle of getting started:
a book or series you struggle to begin because of its size

So many people love Brandon Sanderson and I really want to read Mistborn, but I am definitely scared about how long it will take me.

2. Cleaning out the closet:
a book or series you want to unhaul

I have talked about my dislike of the mortal instruments before, its just not for me, so I probably shouldn’t leave it on my shelf.

3. Opening windows and letting fresh air in:
a book that was refreshing

The hate u give was pretty refreshing to see especially in the young adult community.

4. Washing out the sheets:
a scene you wish you could rewrite

I wish I could rewrite most of the scenes that have Inan in them. He just bothered the crap out of me.

5. Throwing out unnecessary knick-knacks:
a book in a series you didn’t think was necessary

I don’t read that many series so I cant think of one.

6. Polishing doorknobs:
a book that had a clean finish

I don’t know if the ending was “clean” but I really loved it.

7. Reaching to dust the fan:
a book that tried too hard to relay a certain message

I’m not sure about this one either.

8. The tiring yet satisfying finish:
a series that was tiring but satisfying to get through

The first thing I think of is the raven cycle.

Thanks for reading 🙂 I tag anyone else who wants to do this tag!

Thanks to Siobhan’s novelties for tagging me 🙂 I was scared to do this because I don’t own that many books but it was fun!

3. Don’t forget to tag your challenger and the original creator.

Books I’ll probably never read tag

I have already done this tag but it was so long ago I think all my answers have changed. Thanks to Siobhan who tagged me! 😊

A Really Hyped Book You’re Not Interested in Reading

This book is fairly hyped, I mean it won best romance on goodreads but I am not interested in it at all.

A Series You Won’t Start/Won’t Be Finishing

I may have said this before but I will never read the red queen series. I am not sure what put me off it, I am just not interested.

A Classic You’re Not Interested In

I will probably never read Charlotte Bronte or Jane Austen sorry. I read for fun so I don’t know why I would force myself to read something I find boring.

A Genre You Never Read

sci-fi! I like some but I really don’t like books set in space. I never read mystery either.

A Book on Your Shelves You’ll Probably Never Read

I have heard so many great things about Truthwitch but I DNF’d it around 100 pages in I just had no clue what was going on and I wasn’t really into it, so I don’t think I will give it another chance :/ but who knows.

Thanks for reading! I tag Reader gal | Jamsu |Alyssa @A lovely book affair (if they want to do it) and anyone else who wants to do this tag 🙂

The Dreamy Covers Book Tag

  1. Thank the lovely person who tagged you, spread the love!
  2. Mention Tiana @ The Book Raven as the awesome) creator of this book tag!
  3. Use the original tag image in your post. (However, Feel free to add whatever other graphics your heart desires!)
  4. At least tag 1 fellow blogger for this tag. Even if your like me sometimes and feel a bit lazy
  5. List the rules

“No Ideas But in Things”

A book cover that perfectly expresses the novel inside it:

I love this cover because of the colours but it also represents the book incredibly well.

“Dark and Lovely”

A book cover that is so creepalicious you just want to eat it up:

I don’t read creepy things often but I am feeling this one.

“Sugary Sweet”

A cute cover that is so fluffy you want to give it a hug:

The cover isn’t that fluffy but it is cute and I really love this book haha

“The Simple Aesthetic”

A book cover that stuns with the most minimalistic of design:

This UK cover is so much better then the US cover! It is so simple but so gorgeous I really love it.

“Cover Envy”

A book cover you wish you had on your shelves, but don’t yet:

I am eagerly awaiting this release and the cover is just stunning!!

“Traveling Abroad”

A beautiful book cover featuring a country outside of your own:

I am so exited to read this, I only recently heard of it but I think it is going on my March TBR list.

“The Color Wheel”

A cover that showcases one of your favorite colors:

I like burgundy but there is weirdly no burgundy book covers, so blue is my second favourite 🙂

“Switching Gears”

A cover change you absolutely adore:

The first cover isn’t bad but the font/text completely ruins the cover for me. Plus the new cover is so pretty I will never get over it!

“Oldie but Goodie”

A favorite cover of your favorite classic:

This was kind of hard because I haven’t read almost any classics, but I really like The outsiders and this cover is great!

“And the Winner is…”

Which book cover mentioned above is your favorite?

Thanks for reading 🙂 I tag anyone who wants to do it!

The unpopular opinions book tag

I’m not sure who made this tag but I saw someone do it and i thought it looked fun 🙂 so here we go!

A popular book or series that you didn’t like?

The mortal instruments! I honestly don’t know why it’s so popular?

A popular book or series that everyone seems to hate but you love?

The wicked deep, I read a lot of negative reviews but I loved the book.

A love triangle where your ship didn’t sail?

I really didn’t like peter when I read the first book and I still don’t really like him, but he was so different in the movie. Anyway I actually really ended up liking John in this one so I am sad lol.

A popular book  genre that you hardly reach for?

Romance or mystery books

A popular or beloved character that you do not like?

I’m not sure if he is that popular but I absolutely hate Dorian, I don’t know what it is I just don’t like him.

A popular author that you can’t seem to get into?

Terry pratchett and Cassandra Clare

A popular book trope that your tired of seeing?

When a female main character needs a guy to save her, I just want some more strong female characters!

A common series that you have no interest in reading?

An adaption you liked better than the book?

The book wasn’t bad I just think the movie is better.

Thanks for reading 🙂 what are your unpopular opinions?

1. Received an ARC and not reviewed it ❌

omg no I wouldn’t request something if I wasn’t going to read it!

I mean everyone starts out with a low feedback rating and I haven’t read that many ARC’s so probably yeah
