I am really liking on the come up, I got the audio book and it is so good I cant imagine getting the same experience just reading it with my eyes. I am kind of disappointed by Fablehaven so far, I think the writing is just sounding way too young for me and I like middle-grade so I don’t know why it is bothering me? I will hopefully still give it more of a chance and finish it though.

The love and lies of rukhsana ali was amazing! I loved the family, culture, relationships, and discussion of a lot of hard topics.

April wrapup + May TBR

Photography LinkedIn Post Header(1)

April was an awful month both reading and life wise. I have been so stressed I cant even do the stuff I love to do like reading and blogging. I was in a slump for 2 weeks but I still managed to read something this month! Anyway sorry to be so depressing but I might be taking a bit of a break from blogging to maintain my sanity haha. I hope everyone had a good month though!

May TBR

I got radio silence in the mail and I am very exited to read it because I have heard such great things. Also I thought I was going to get the love and lies of rukhsana ali last month but the library hold took way longer than I thought so it is now for this month.

Same thing for on the come up. I should definitely get it soon but I am not sure about the umbrella academy who knows. When do I ever actually stick to my tbr anyway haha

Thanks for reading 🙂

I had seen the movie a while back and then realized there was a book so I picked it up and I am liking it. I could definitely relate to the pressure he feels from school and ect.

I am not a huge graphic novel person but for the first 2 weeks of April I read absolutely nothing, I couldn’t even get myself to read audio books so I thought I would try some graphic novels. I am also obsessed with the umbrella academy so I thought I would see how different it is to the original.

Griffindor Book Recommendations

it's my birthday!(1)

Griffindor! This one has got to be the easiest one yet considering most main characters in books are brave and courageous to drive the story.

51I0LAuJ7vL._SY248_BO1,204,203,200_

Magnus Chase like most Rick Riordan books has a clueless but brave hero. His books always make me laugh but the main characters are such griffindors!

17675462

The raven boys is mostly about a group of friends who are exploring these paranormal lay lines. I would recommend it to a griffindor because of the friendships, and how determined Gansey is about the lay lines.

aindex

Girls of paper and fire is set in a super dark world and our main character gets dragged into being a paper girl for the demon king. The sheer amount of overcoming adversity and being so strong in such a terrible situation makes me immediately think griffindor.

Outlander is another example of a strong character surviving a brutal world/ Time period. Even when given the opportunity to go back she stays.

TTT Rainy Day Reads

20180415_0850161855715862.png

Top ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl and this weeks topic is Rainy Day Reads! I love staying inside and reading while listening to the rain and it rains constantly where I live. Anyway here are some nice atmospheric books, perfect for a rainy day.

Coraline may be a fairly short children’s book but it has an incredible world and story. Turtles all the way down is the only non-fantasy book I chose, it is almost moody and perfect to just sit down and binge read.

miss peregrine’s home for peculiar children is just as creepy and enchanting as Coraline. For Cogheart I thought it was a good mix of dark and light and a quick fun adventure.

Girls of paper and fire and Six of crows I chose because of how dark the worlds are.

Spring Cleaning Book Tag

morefonth

I was tagged by Bibi @Bibi’s book blog to do the spring cleaning book tag 2.0! Which I am very happy about because I was planning on doing it anyway 🙂

1. The struggle of getting started:
a book or series you struggle to begin because of its size

243272

So many people love Brandon Sanderson and I really want to read Mistborn, but I am definitely scared about how long it will take me.

2. Cleaning out the closet:
a book or series you want to unhaul

1582996

I have talked about my dislike of the mortal instruments before, its just not for me, so I probably shouldn’t leave it on my shelf.

3. Opening windows and letting fresh air in:
a book that was refreshing

32075671

The hate u give was pretty refreshing to see especially in the young adult community.

4. Washing out the sheets:
a scene you wish you could rewrite

34728667

I wish I could rewrite most of the scenes that have Inan in them. He just bothered the crap out of me.

5. Throwing out unnecessary knick-knacks:
a book in a series you didn’t think was necessary

I don’t read that many series so I cant think of one.

6. Polishing doorknobs:
a book that had a clean finish

35297394

I don’t know if the ending was “clean” but I really loved it.

7. Reaching to dust the fan:
a book that tried too hard to relay a certain message

I’m not sure about this one either.

8. The tiring yet satisfying finish:
a series that was tiring but satisfying to get through

17378527

The first thing I think of is the raven cycle.

Thanks for reading 🙂 I tag anyone else who wants to do this tag!
